Here at White-Porcelain we understand that you want your product as quickly as possible. This is exactly what we aim to do. We use courier services such as UPS and City Link to ensure quick delivery.
If your order includes items we have in stock, it will be despatched within 3-5 working days. This really a worst case scenario - it’s far more likely your order will be despatched within 24 hours. In the unlikely event that we don’t have your item in stock, we will send you an email to notify you when it has arrived and an expected delivery time. We will also inform you of any changes to your order via email.
We offer next day-delivery on all in-stock items. This option is only available if you order before 5pm. Next day delivery is only available for mainland UK addresses.
In the unlikely event that your delivery is later than estimated due to an error during the delivery stage, we will do our best to sort the problem for you. However, White-Porcelain cannot take any responsibility for delays during delivery as we rely on third party courier services to deliver our products to you.
Who is our courier?
All details about the courier service being used for your particular order will be included a confirmation email sent to you when you place an order with us. Any additional information you may want about your order can be obtained from our customer service team. The courier service depends on the size and weight of your order. For orders within mainland UK weighing over 2kg, the courier used will either be UPS or City Link. If the total weight is less than 2kg, we will use Royal Mail 2nd class service to deliver your order.
What if I miss my delivery?
We would appreciate it if you arranged for someone to be at the delivery address at the estimated delivery time to make things quicker and easier for both you and us. You can also arrange for your order to be left with a neighbour. We accept that this can sometimes be hard to arrange, but someone must sign for the delivery. If you do miss your delivery, a card will be left by UPS or City Link with telephone numbers and details of the depot where your order has been left. You can arrange for another delivery date with the depot. This can be done online or by phone.
City Link will attempt to deliver your order twice and will hold it for three days. If you don’t reschedule another delivery date, City Link will send your order back to us and you will be charged £10.50. This is to cover City Link’s return charge.
UPS will attempt to deliver your order three times and if you aren’t able to receive it on any of these three attempts, UPS will send your order back to us and you will be charged £10.50 to re-deliver
Tracking your order
Your order will be given a unique tracking number meaning you can check what stage your order has reached at anytime. Any delivery problems you may have can be resolved directly by the relevant courier services whose telephone numbers and website links will be included in the confirmation email we send. You can find your order’s tracking number in the despatch email when your order is placed.
The shipping costs are worked out based on the total weight of your order. This is worked out at the shopping basket stage during your ordering process to give you the cheapest possible shipping charges.
The free delivery offer is for orders of over £100 and is only available for mainland UK deliveries.
Outside mainland UK delivery costs
If your delivery address is not within mainland UK, shipping costs are worked out automatically based on the size and weight of the parcel. You can select your delivery country at the basket stage during your order. Shipping costs will be applied to the total price automatically so you won’t get any nasty surprises when it comes to billing.
VAT is charged at 20% for all sales to EU countries. If your order is going to a non-EU country, the UK VAT is removed as you may be charged VAT at your local rate when your order is delivered. This will be shown when you select your country at the shopping basket stage during the order process.
We reserve the right to amend shipping costs after an order has been placed if we find that there has been an error by our system when working out our delivery costs. Don’t worry though, we will send you an email confirming this price change so you won’t get any unexpected charges.
